Winter Wonderland

Hi, kids:

I know these days you are trying to memorize the lyrics of the nice Christmas Carol we are singing on December 22nd.

I have created a link where you can listen to the version we have been listening to at school (Queridas familias, he subido el audio a una plataforma pero, como podéis imaginar, esto no es muy ortodoxo por aquello de los derechos de autor. Así que puede que solo esté unas horas disponible. Aun así, creo que es posible descargar el archivo de audio). Este es el enlace para su descarga:

Besides this, in Social Science we are talking about the barbarians, those germanic tribes that invaded the Roman Empire in the last years of Ancient History. I'll try to share with you a video this weekend where we can learn some facts about one of those tribes: the Visigoths.

See you tomorrow!

Natural Science: unit 2 videos

Hi, kids!

Today I want to share two videos that can help you understand some of the contents we are studying these days in class.

The first video is about your immune system (remember: the natural defenses your body has).

The second explains some important concepts about weight, healthy diets...

I have watched the first with 4A, so don't worry if there are some words you don't understand because we will watch them in class.

See you tomorrow :)

Social Science: Phoenicians, Ancient Greeks and Carthaginians.

Hi, kids!

As you know, we are talking about some of the Mediterranean cultures that lived on the Iberian Peninsula before the Romans.

Have a look at the next videos to go over some of the contents we have explained. As I told you with the Celts' video, you may see some new or difficult words so all your doubts and questions are welcome:

Phoenicians ans Carthaginians:

Ancient Greeks:

These videos could help you get that extra credit I told you ;)

See you tomorrow!

Natural Science: Healthy diet

Hi, kids.

Last year we talked about the different nutrients we need to take in order to be healthy.
If you click here, you can have a look at the games and links I shared to practise those contents.

We are learning that some foods contain more nutrients than others. Have a look at these slides (click here) to discover the best food groups to obtain proteins, potassium, fibre, etc.

See you on Friday ;)

Muffin in a mug

Hi, kids!

I thought you and your familiy may like to see some photographs of this special English sessions.

I hope you had fun.
It has been a good chance to use in a real context some of the language we have learnt in unit 1 (quantities, recipes...).

I want to thank you and your parents for helping us in this sweet project.

Special thanks to Kristin and Farah, our expert chefs!

On the link below, you can see the recipe on the internet.

They looked delicious. I hope you enjoyed them!
See you tomorrow ;)

Bones!

Hi, kids!

These are the horse bones Leire and Ainara brought to school some days ago. To tell you the truth, I had never seen a backbone and a jaw so close!

We will use these photographs when we study vertebrates in the third term.

Thanks a lot, Leire and Ainara :)

See you tomorrow.

Social Science: Celts and Iberians

Hi, kids!

Have a look at this video. It offers a very cool summary of some of the things we have been studying about pre-Roman people on the Iberian Peninsula (si tenéis alguna duda de lo que aparece en él, no dudéis en preguntar en clase).

I hope you like it :)

See you tomorrow!
