Instrucciones días 11 al 26 de marzo

Instrucciones para los días 11 al 26 de marzo de 2020.

Estimadas familias:

Ante la suspensión de las clases, quería dejar algunas tareas que pueden ayudar a que vuestros hijos no detengan su aprendizaje en estas dos semanas y puedan repasar algunos de los temas que estamos trabajando en estos días.

Como bien sabéis, teníamos exámenes previstos para los días 26, 27 y 30 de marzo. Como comprenderéis, esas pruebas quedan en el aire. Cuando se reanuden las clases, repasaremos los temas que hemos tenido que interrumpir y buscaremos la mejor forma de evaluar el aprendizaje, ya sea con alguna prueba o con alguna tarea a realizar. En cualquier caso, estos temas pertenecerían ya a la tercera evaluación. Es una situación excepcional que nos obliga a adaptarnos y a modificar lo que teníamos planificado.

Iré colgando en el blog (https://ramonenglishteacher.blogspot.com/) algún video o actividad que pueda servir de repaso de algunos de los contenidos que estábamos viendo en las tres áreas troncales que yo imparto. Ya hay un par de entradas de Natural Science y de Social Science que subí hace unos días. Por otro lado, me consta que hay alumnos que hacen un buen uso de las aplicaciones Navio (Inglés) y de ByMe (Social and Natural Science). Este puede ser un buen momento para repasar mediante esas herramientas.

Junto a lo anterior, señalo algunas actividades que pueden ir haciendo en cada asignatura para reforzar algunos de los contenidos ya trabajados:

English	Read PB pages 78-80. AB pages 75, 76, 78,108. Worksheets (Vocabulary and Grammar).
Natural Science	Read and study PB pages 72-75. Exercises PB 73:6, 74: 1-2, 80: 1-3. AB pages 26-28.
Social Science	Read and study PB pages 24-29. Exercises PB 29: 3, 34: 1-3. AB pages 8-10

                Y luego está todo lo demás que, en ocasiones, es igualmente importante: leer, dibujar, inventar historias… En el blog de la biblioteca (https://labibliotecadelpasamonte.blogspot.com/) colgaré alguna recomendación relacionada con la temática que habíamos seleccionado para el Día del Libro: La Antigua Grecia.

Agradezco su colaboración y comprensión ante una situación excepcional y novedosa para todos. Intentaremos retomar las clases con la mejor actitud y con la voluntad de que nuestros alumnos puedan aprovechar al máximo los meses que resten hasta el final del curso.

Natural Science: matter

Hello, friends.

As you know, in Natural Science we are dealing with contents like matter, materials, etc. This is difficult stuff, but I am sure you will be fine with some work and some activities we are doing at school. 

The next video can help you understand what matter is and how it can have different states: solid, liquid and gas.

Natural Science: pizza :)

Good evening, my friends!

Do you like pizza? Of course you do... everybody loves pizza. But I'm not talking about one of those frozen pizzas, or the ones that contain a million calories. No. I mean a fantastic pizza created by you. 

In Natural Science we are learning a lot about nutrition and how important our diet is to stay healthy. 

I have found a very nice game to design your own pizza. You have to choose the different ingredients and toppings and then you can name your recipe.

Why don't you try it and become a chef? After the long weekend, you can tell me about your pizza...I'm sure I'm going to love it.

Social Science: Roman legacy

Hi, kids!

We have just finished our wonderful unit about Ancient History. You have learnt a lot about Phoenicians, Carthaginians and of course about the Roman Empire. The Roman civilization built lots of structures in Hispania (the Iberian Peninsula during the Roman Empire). 

In the video below, you can see some of those bridges, walls and aqueducts built by them.

As you know, I gave you the lyrics of this beautiful song a few weeks ago and we have been practising in the classes since that day. If you don't know where the lyrics are, you can ask for another copy.

Anyway, here you can watch the video and practice at home with your family. But please, please, please...once a day is enough (it is still November!).
