Let's continue our unit about vertebrates. Two things to do today. 

Go to PB page 46 and do exercises 4 and 5 (os toca investigar un poco en internet para hallar las respuestas, aunque quizás ya las sabéis). 

4. Which is the smallest mammal on the planet?
5. Which is the biggest mammal on the planet?

After studying the mammals, we have to talk birds. Have a look at the next word map (you can find the same information on PB page 47).

Good morning, kids: 

Monday again! Let's hope it is our last Monday without school...

These are the subjects we have today: Valores (3º A y B), English (3º A) y Social Science (3º A y B).

VALORES (3º A y B).

El otro día os mandé una actividad en la que teníamos que reflexionar sobre cómo llegar a un acuerdo, y lo hicimos con el ejercicio 3 de la página 34. Si seguimos leyendo en esa página, veremos qué es un mediador. Se trata de alguien que ayuda a las personas que están discutiendo, que intenta que lleguen a un acuerdo y la discusión no vaya a más. Hoy os pido lo siguiente:

- Escribe o dibuja una situación en la que creas que puede ser importante tener un mediador, es decir, una persona que ayude cuando haya un conflicto entre compañeros. Puede ser una situación del colegio o algo que sucede en la calle, en un partido de fútbol, etc.

ENGLISH (3º A).

No sé si recordáis que hemos vuelto a retrasar la fecha del examen. Lo hemos puesto el lunes 25... Ojalá podamos hacerlo ese día.

Retorno a las clases

Estimados alumnos y familias: 

Finalmente no vamos a poder retomar las clases presenciales el próximo lunes 18. Parece que el retorno será dos días después, el miércoles 20 de enero. Por lo tanto, el próximo lunes volveremos a vernos a las 10.00 y a las 12.00 tal y como hemos hecho en los últimos días. 

Aprovecho para comentaros que el examen de inglés que teníamos previsto realizar el jueves 21 se retrasa hasta el lunes 25, de modo que podamos tener algunos días más para repasar en clase. 

Muchas gracias por vuestra colaboración.

Good morning, everyone!

I know I'm going to see you in a bit. But let me tell you the activities I have planned for today. 

According to my timetable, today I have English with 3B, Valores with 3A and Arts and Crafts with both groups. So, let's get started!

VALORES (3º A) (hoy toca una actividad que mandé a los compañeros de 3º B hace un par de días, tal vez algún compañero del A ya lo hizo. No pasa nada).

En los próximos días vamos a aprender cómo llegar a un acuerdo. De momento os propongo la siguiente actividad de la página 34. Espero poder trabajar este contenido pronto en clase con vosotros.

ARTS AND CRAFTS (3º A y B) 

We are going to start a very exciting unit where you will learn a lot about collages and a great artist named Henri Matisse. I will tell you everything you need to know about him next week, but I'm going to ask you to watch the video to introduce you to this amazing person.

(de momento no tenéis que hacer nada, pero prestad atención al vídeo porque pronto tendréis que hacer un trabajo al estilo Matisse). 

ENGLISH  (3º B) 

Como ya sabéis, estamos repasando algunos contenidos ahora que ya hemos acabado el tema 3. A partir del lunes haremos en clase algunas actividades de repaso, sobre todo orales, y terminar así de prepararnos para el examen del jueves.

NATURAL SCIENCE (3º A y B).

Two days ago we introduced the new unit and learnt the two big groups (vertebrates and invertebrates). Today we are going to start with the first group of vertebrates: mammals. 

Read PB page 46 and have a look at the next word map (you can copy it if you want to, but it is voluntary work). 

Ok. Now try to complete the next activity:

1. Write a mammal that...

- can fly:
- breathes with its lungs:
- eats meat:
- lays eggs:
- has four legs:
- lives on land:
- lives in the water:
- eats plants:

Do you remember MUST and MUSTN'T? (aprendimos estos verbos para hablar de cosas que debemos o no debemos hacer).

Today we are going to do some English and some Natural Science activities.

Let's continue with the last sessions of Unit 3. Today I'm going to ask you to do AB 34: exercises 1 to 7. 

Then, use NAVIO to practise UNIT 3 activities (get ready for the test!).

Finally, have a look at the next games to practise "have/has got" a bit more.

NATURAL SCIENCE (3º A y B).

We start a new unit today (Unit 3: Animals). 

Go to PB pages 42-43 and have a look at the picture, then do exercises 2 and 4 (es importante mirar el dibujo con atención antes de hacer los ejercicios). 

In this unit we are going to learn a lot of interesting facts abouts animals. Have a look at the next word map (you can copy it if you want to).
