Siguiendo mi horario de los miércoles, comenzamos con Valores (3º B).

En los próximos días vamos a aprender cómo llegar a un acuerdo. De momento os propongo la siguiente actividad de la página 34. Espero poder trabajar este contenido pronto en clase con vosotros.

Are you ready for some English activities?

We have finished Unit 3, but there are some activities we can do. 

Do you remember MUST and MUSTN'T? (aprendimos estos verbos para hablar de cosas que debemos o no debemos hacer). 

Let's practise a bit more. On the link below there is a double worksheet. You can print it or just copy your answers on a piece of paper.

Social Science: landforms

Hello, kids: 

You know we are studying continents, oceans and landforms in this unit. I thought you could do some activities to go over these contents. 

First, I want you to find some landforms on the next wordsearch  (super easy). 

WORDSEARCH

Next, there are some National Geographic videos about the continents. You have to watch some of them and try to answer the next questions. It is not difficult if you pay attention (puedes activar los subtítulos si haces click en CC en la pantalla del vídeo; subtítulos en inglés, claro). Si hay alguna duda, la resolveremos juntos en clase en la próxima sesión de Social Science (Wednesday).

Watch and answer: How many people visit the Eiffel Tower every year?

2. ASIA.

Watch and answer: Name the two biggest countries in Asia.

3. ANTARCTICA.

Watch and answer: What is the name of the active volcano we can find in Antarctica?

Let's continue with English Unit 9: Today we are going to do some reading and listening activities. 

1. First read and listen to the dialogue on PB pages 94-95. If you don't have the book you can read here and listen on the link below.

4. As I said, we need to go over verbs in this unit. So have a look at the next game to practise that 3rd column (PAST PARTICIPLE). Puede parecer un juego simple, pero es muy interesante para aprender cómo se forman esas frases en PRESENT PERFECT (un tiempo verbal que usamos para hablar de cosas que hemos hecho).

Let's start with some new lighthouses and drawings :)

We have to do some English today. We started unit 9 on Monday and we are going to continue with some of those contents today.

1. First I'd like to see if you can identify the next countries: 

a) MARNIAO__________________________

Do you remember our list of verbs? It had three columns: INIFINITIVE, PAST SIMPLE AND PAST PARTICIPLE. Today we are going to talk about the third column (PAST PARTICIPLE). Have a look at these questions?

- Have you ever been to France?
- Have you ever written a poem?
- Have you ever eaten an insect?

Si os fijáis bien, veréis que os he subrayado tres palabras que ya conocéis: se trata de la tercera columna de tres verbos. 
BE, WAS/WERE, BEEN
WRITE, WROTE, WRITTEN
EAT, ATE, EATEN. 

Si estuviéramos en el cole, os explicaría muchas de las funciones de esa tercera columna, pero hoy vamos a comenzar con lo básico. 

Do you like pizza? Yes, I do.
Does she like tomatoes? Yes, she does. 
Will you come to my party? Yes, I will.
Did you do your homework? Yes, I did.

Os he subrayado los verbos auxiliares que usamos para preguntar y que deben aparecer siempre en la respuesta. Teniendo en cuenta eso, mirad lo siguiente: 

Have you ever been to Italy? Yes, I have/ No, I haven't.
Has she ever been to France? Yes, she has/ No, she hasn't.

2. After that, try to do the next AB exercises (AB 91:1-2).

Este tiempo verbal nuevo se llama Present Perfect y se utiliza para hablar de experiencias que hemos tenido, cosas que hemos hecho. 

Ex: Have you ever seen a giraffe? Yes, I have. 

Para ello utilizamos el verbo HAVE (o HAS con he,she,it) y la tercera columna de los verbos: 

HAVE/HAS + PAST PARTICIPLE

I have been
You have written
She has eaten

¡Por eso es tan importante saberse los verbos irregulares!

3. Let's practise this third column (past participle) a bit more with the game below.
