Hello, kids!

As you know we are starting these days our last unit in Social Science. We are going to learn some interesting things about rocks and minerals. 

I have thought that it is a good opportunity to go over some of the things we learnt with Marina's dad. 

The next links are sites that Victor sent me. They can help you to understand some of the new contents in this unit, and they are super fun too!

Descubre los volcanes. Here you can download a free book, do some experiments and watch some videos about the wonderful world of volcanoes.

Cuando la tierra tiembla. This site offers a downloadable book about earthquakes and volcanoes. It is very interesting.

Natural Science: Make your ecosystem in a jar

Hello, kids!

Do you remember the plant I made and brought to school? I thought you might like to try it and make one. 

I have found a video that explains how to make it. I like that video because it says some things about Social Science too (water vapour, evaporation...) and then explains the different stages to make the terrarium. 

Watch it and give it a try if you feel like it. Of course, you can ask me all your doubts. 

I'd love to see some photographs if you give it a try ;)

Hi, kids: 

I know some of you have troubles with invertebrates. They are a group with thousands of different species, so it is easy to be overwhelmed. I wanted to share with you a word map we used some time ago to study these contents. 

Let's start with arthropods (echad un vistazo al esquema y a ver si os suena lo que aparece en él). 

There is a game you can play to go over some of the contents you are studying about this group of crunchy animals.
